Irrigation Echeveria agavoides

continental : During this time of year very frequent watering is advised, even daily if the climate is very hot and dry; let’s try to keep the soil cool and damp. Irrigate every 1-2 weeks, during the evening or morning hours.

alpine : The Echeveria agavoides should be watered regularly, to maintain the substratum slightly damp using 3-4 glasses of water; if the climate is very hot and there are scarce precipitations it might be necessary to water every 2-3 weeks, or more often than that.

mediterranean : We suggest watering often, trying to keep the soil slightly damp with 5-6 glasses of water, but avoiding excesses; the forming of water stagnations also harm those plants which love wetness, usually the frequency of watering is every 0-1 weeks.

Feed Echeveria agavoides : In this period of the year fertilizations will be regular, using a specific fertilizer for succulent plants, rich in potassium and poor in nitrogen; a regular use of fertilizers favours a healthy development of the plants and an abundant flowering. We suggest avoiding excesses and fertilizing every 15-20 days.

Adversity Echeveria agavoides : In the summer the parasite which worries us most is the cochineal, which develops itself very rapidly with the dry climate, on stems, leaves and often even on the roots of the plants. We can quickly kill the cochineals applying a mineral oil based treatment.
