continental : Plant which needs at least a few hours a day of solar rays.
Let's grow the the Kniphofia uvaria in the garden; they aren't afraid of the cold weather.

alpine : These plants love very sunny positions, which are directly exposed to sunrays even for many hours a day.
During the summer months we can grow these plants outdoors without needing to protect them.

mediterranean : These plants can be placed in a very bright place, possibly sunny, directly under the solar rays for a few hours a day.
We suggest growing the the Kniphofia uvaria in the garden, because they are rustic problems.

continental : The Kniphofia uvaria needs very frequent watering; during this period of the year we advise watering even every 0-1 weeks using 1,5 litres of water, trying to keep the substratum always slightly damp.

alpine : We advise frequent watering, every 1-2 weeks using 0,5 litres of water, so that the soil is always a bit humid.

mediterranean : The watering must be very regular and frequent, using 2,5 litres of water, so that the soil is always slightly damp, avoiding excesses and water stagnation. A good rule is to wet every 0-0 weeks.

Fertilize Kniphofia uvaria : In the summer let’s fertilize periodically, using a fertilizer for flowering plants, to add to the irrigating water every 10-15 days; we can otherwise use a slow release fertilizer, to spread near the plants every 3-4 months.

Pests Kniphofia uvaria : During the summer months it is best to apply precise treatments, specifically against each type of parasite, to be used only when we have already noticed the presence of fungus or insects on our plants; these treatments should be applied during the coolest hours of the day. In general during this period of the year an infesting of ticks and rust is very likely to occur, because its development is favoured by dry climates.
