continental : During this time of year very frequent watering is advised, even daily if the climate is very hot and dry; let’s try to keep the soil cool and damp. Irrigate every 1-2 weeks, during the evening or morning hours.

alpine : The Thymus serpyllum should be watered regularly, to maintain the substratum slightly damp using 0,5 litres of water; if the climate is very hot and there are scarce precipitations it might be necessary to water every 2-3 weeks, or more often than that.

mediterranean : We suggest watering often, trying to keep the soil slightly damp with 2,5 litres of water, but avoiding excesses; the forming of water stagnations also harm those plants which love wetness, usually the frequency of watering is every 0-1 weeks.

Feed Thymus serpyllum : Every 15-20 days, let’s add a fertilizer for green plants to the irrigating water; or we can fertilize repeatedly every 8-10 days, using a half dose of the product. It’s possible to use a slow release fertilizer, which has a four-month lasting action.

Adversity Thymus serpyllum : Summer treatments should be applied only in cases of displayed infesting; a dry climate favours the development of ticks and rust. During this period of the year, since there are many useful insects in the garden, it is advisable to avoid using wide-range products, favouring the use of specific products against each type of parasite. Let’s apply the treatments during early morning or evening hours.
